A pixel of the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope
NASA’s Adopt-a-Pixel program lets you steward one pixel from Roman’s first images. Mine is 00107572.
NASA’s Adopt-a-Pixel program for the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is a small, public way to take part in the first images from a telescope built to map dark energy, exoplanets, and infrared sky.
The certificate names me as steward of pixel 00107572. The accompanying note is the part that stuck:
Though small, this pixel carries its share of a much larger picture — a fragment of light captured by NASA and now entrusted to a caring steward. Wherever it sits in the frame, it helps complete the view.
You can adopt your own pixel on NASA’s program page.
